Gianluca Quaglia lives and works in Milan.
His artistic pursuit focuses on teaching, reflecting on the landscape and the interaction with it, working with various cultural associations and art galleries, developing contemporary art workshops, and above all, collaborating with institutions and organizations for the disabled.
"My work investigates the relationship between the environment and that which happens within it, in the dimension in which the context and the subject relate and change between them. The dialogic relationship between the installation and the place generates suggestions of change. I use diverse materials upon which I operate with a process of readjustment, creating a new visual dimension and reflecting upon the characteristics everywhere in the materials that I use.
I’m not interested in having complete control over the work, inasmuch it is not a whole, because it is completed in the space with the viewer. I don’t follow an ideal of a finished work, because the interaction with the public is decisive and stimulating."
